The County Council’s Culture Committee will meet on Tuesday 7 March – from 10.30 at County Hall to discuss at its item 6 the attached proposal, which would enable Gedling Borough Council to take on grounds maintenance of the park, providing agreement is reached on a legal contract and its attached collaborative agreement. It is a public meeting – some of us will attend. We have made our concerns and those you have reported to us known to both councils in hope that it may influence the final agreement that is reached. You’ll see contact details for Derek Higton, the County Council Service Director whose proposal it is, on page 4 – if you have strong views please contact him.
Here’s the news sheet for March. Spring really is just around the corner – the snowdrops are looking great in the Japanese Gardens and arboretum. Hope you get chance to watch the gradual arrival of spring across our big and beautiful Park!
